Position Summary:
The Temporary Assistant to the Program Director plays an active role in supporting Life 102.5’s on-air sound, listener engagement efforts, and daily content operations. This position contributes to a variety of programming, creative, and organizational tasks that help ensure a smooth and positive experience for both listeners and on-air staff. From reviewing music logs and preparing on-air materials to assisting with events, social media, and occasional on-air content, this role helps strengthen the station’s overall quality and connection with the community.

• Organizational Skills: Strong time management and problem-solving abilities; able to prioritize and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
• Technical Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and related software.
• Written & Verbal Communication: Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
• Recruiting: Ability to communicate the uniqueness of University of Northwestern to prospective athletes and their parents.
• Knowledgeability: Knowledge and understanding of collegiate sport rules and regulations.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
• Travel: Willingness and ability to travel occasionally for work-related purposes.
• Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
• Background Check: Must pass initial and ongoing background checks as a condition of employment.
