Position Summary:
The Engagement Specialist / On-Air Host at Life 102.5 WNWC serves as both a welcoming on-air presence and a community ambassador, reflecting Christ’s love through authentic connection and service. This role combines engaging on-air hosting with planning and leading community events, digital content creation, and volunteer coordination.

Key Responsibilities:
• Host engaging on-air segments that connect with Life 102.5’s target audience and reflect the station’s Christ-centered mission and values.
• Prepare daily show content and maintain show-related digital elements, including blogs, voice tracking, and social media updates, in alignment with the Program Director’s direction.
• Represent Life 102.5 at concerts, community events, and station appearances.
• Plan and coordinate community events and outreach initiatives that build relationships and increase station visibility.
• Oversee event logistics and materials, including booth setup, branded signage, giveaways, and on-site engagement opportunities.
• Lead and support volunteers, interns, and student employees by recruiting, training, and assigning roles for station and community events.
• Collaborate with the Northwestern Media digital team to develop and implement digital and promotional content that engages listeners and maintains consistent brand messaging.
• Participate in occasional evening and weekend events as needed.
• Assist with special projects, podcasts, or other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Required:
• High School diploma or GED equivalent required
• Internship or work experience in event planning, community engagement or public relations
• Familiarity with digital media, social media and basic content creation tools
Maintain a growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, reflect His character in all interactions, and faithfully uphold and embrace Northwestern’s mission, Doctrinal Statement and Declaration of Christian Community

Nice To Have:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
• Two years of previous on-air hosting experience

• Independent & Teamwork: Capable of working both independently and collaboratively, with minimal supervision.
• Confidentiality: Maintains discretion and handles sensitive information appropriately.
• Organizational Skills: Strong time management and problem-solving abilities; able to prioritize and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
• Technical Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and related software.
• Written & Verbal Communication: Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
• Travel: Willingness and ability to travel occasionally for work-related purposes.
• Driver’s License: Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
• Background Check: Must pass initial and ongoing background checks as a condition of employment.
