Position Summary:
This position is responsible to provide excellence in teaching through the fulfillment of the mission and strategic goals of the School of Business in both undergraduate and graduate business courses. Responsibilities also include curriculum development, student advising, and supervision of internships to support student success and career readiness. Contributing to recruitment and retention efforts, integrating technology into instruction, and engaging in service through committee participation are components of this position as well as ongoing professional development to maintain expertise in current business practices and teaching methods.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach Undergraduate & Graduate Courses: Deliver business courses across key areas such as Supply Chain, Operations, Entrepreneurship, Ethics, Global Business, HR, and Small Business Management based on departmental needs and expertise.
• Curriculum Development: Contribute to curriculum design, course development, program assessment, and alignment of business curricula across undergraduate programs.
• Student Advising & Mentorship: Advise assigned students and support their academic and professional development, including internship supervision.
• Professional Development: Stay current with business trends and higher education teaching practices through continued training and education.
• Recruitment & Retention: Support strategies for student recruitment, retention, and alumni engagement within business programs.
• Technology Integration: Use educational technologies to enhance teaching effectiveness and communication.
• Institutional Service: Participate in school and university committees and other service opportunities as needed. Attend required meetings and special events as assigned.

Qualifications:
Required:
• MBA or Master's in Business or related degree
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in business
• Desire to engage in scholarship, including the integration of business and Christianity
• Maintain a growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, reflect His character in all interactions, and faithfully uphold and embrace Northwestern’s mission, Doctrinal Statement and Declaration of Christian Community
Nice To Have:
• Doctorate degree in Business (DBA or PhD)
• Previous teaching at a post-secondary level
• Demonstrated professional activity in the business community

• Confidentiality: Maintains discretion and handles sensitive information appropriately.
• Organizational Skills: Strong time management and problem-solving abilities; able to prioritize and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
• Technical Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and related software.
• Written & Verbal Communication: Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
• Background Check: Must pass initial and ongoing background checks as a condition of employment.
