Title: Weekend Event Support/Custodial Services

Position Compensation: $19.35 - $21.50 / hour
Location: University Campus - St. Paul, Minnesota

Position Summary:
The Weekend Event Support provides essential facilities support for campus events held on Saturdays and Sundays, ensuring clean, safe, and welcoming environments for students, employees, and guests. This role is responsible for event‑related setup, custodial care, and rapid response to facility needs throughout the weekend.

This position is a 12-month position scheduled for 8 hours on Saturdays and 4 hours on Sundays.

Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate weekend building events access and security by unlocking, securing, and monitoring designated campus facilities according to scheduled needs.
• Provide custodial support for weekend events, ensuring restrooms, common areas, and event spaces remain clean, stocked, and well‑maintained.
• Coordinate and perform event setup and teardown, including arranging furniture, moving equipment, and preparing spaces in alignment with event requirements.
• Respond to custodial and facility issues in real time, addressing spills, emergencies, and operational concerns while maintaining communication with the campus events team.
• Maintain safe and welcoming facility conditions by monitoring spaces throughout events and performing necessary upkeep, including clearing snow and debris as needed.
• Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Qualifications:
Required:
• High school diploma or GED
• Maintain a growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, reflect His character in all interactions, and faithfully uphold and embrace Northwestern’s mission, Doctrinal Statement and Declaration of Christian Community

Key Skills:
• Independent & Teamwork: Capable of working both independently and collaboratively, with minimal supervision.
• Confidentiality: Maintains discretion and handles sensitive information appropriately.
• Organizational Skills: Strong time management and problem-solving abilities; able to prioritize and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
• Technical Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and related software.
• Written & Verbal Communication: Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
• Driver’s License: Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
• Background Check: Must pass initial and ongoing background checks as a condition of employment.
