Position Compensation: $11.91 - $14.65 per hour
Location: University Campus - St. Paul, Minnesota

Position Summary:
To assist in effectively creating content for the Alumni department by creating and editing content that accurately represents UNW and engages with external constituents (Alumni, parents, patrons, guests, and the public).

This position is for the 2026-2027 academic year. 

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist Alumni & Family Engagement team with writing, scheduling, and maintaining the social media content calendar
• Work with team to cultivate and curate social media content and newsletters for the UNW Alumni and Family community through gathering stories, interviewing, creating, and editing
• Monitor and engage with Alumni and Parent social media accounts, including communication with UNW constituents (alumni, families, students, staff, and faculty)
• Ensure that content follows UNW branding guidelines
• Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Qualifications:
Required
• Experience with Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms
• Able to interact with a variety of individuals in a professional, tactful and courteous manner
• Maintain a growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, reflect His character in all interactions, and faithfully uphold and embrace Northwestern’s mission, Doctrinal Statement and Declaration of Christian Community

Nice to Have
• Experience with photography/videography

Key Skills:
• Independent & Teamwork: Capable of working both independently and collaboratively, with minimal supervision.
• Confidentiality: Maintains discretion and handles sensitive information appropriately.
• Organizational Skills: Strong time management and problem-solving abilities; able to prioritize and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
• Technical Proficiency: Basic to intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office and related software.
• Written & Verbal Communication: Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
• Punctuality & Initiative: Prompt, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting responsibilities.
• Background Check: Must pass background check as a condition of employment.

The work environment involves working for a suburban, Christian university or Christian owned and operated radio station alongside those with a demonstrated commitment and personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a commitment to the mission and values of Northwestern, and an agreement to abide by all Northwestern policies.
