Location: Onsite - University Campus - St. Paul, Minnesota

Position Summary:
The adjunct faculty position is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in traditional undergraduate, on-campus, courses that support the institution’s mission and strategic goals. Teaching assignments are offered on an as-needed basis, depending on class size and semester availability. This role requires active engagement in the classroom, timely communication, and completion of assigned teaching training modules.

Hiring multiple positions for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027.

  • Management/Administration courses: Supply Chain Management, Operations, and Project Management.
  • Accounting Courses: Intermediate Accounting, Accounting Technology, Audit, Financial and Managerial Accounting.
  • Finance Courses: Retirement and Planning, Insurance, Wealth Management, Money and Banking, and Investments.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality instruction in assigned courses aligned with the institution’s mission and strategic goals.
• Maintain a consistent, active, and positive presence in the classroom, facilitating course content and engaging with students.
• Monitor and participate in class discussions to promote interaction and learning.
• Respond promptly to student inquiries and concerns, fostering a supportive learning environment.
• Grade assignments and provide feedback in a timely manner; complete required teaching training modules.
• Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Qualifications:
Required:
• Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field, CPA License meets the minimum qualifications for teaching certain business courses or selected certifications or experience related to the subject matter will be considered.
• Minimum of five years working experience in business and experience in the course related field.
• Experience teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level, or in non-academic settings.
• Maintain a growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, reflect His character in all interactions, and faithfully uphold and embrace Northwestern’s mission, Doctrinal Statement and Declaration of Christian Community

Nice to have:
• PhD or DBA in Business Administration or related field
• Availability to teach course(s) during daytime class schedule

• Independent & Teamwork: Capable of working both independently and collaboratively, with minimal supervision.
• Confidentiality: Maintains discretion and handles sensitive information appropriately.
• Organizational Skills: Strong time management and problem-solving abilities; able to prioritize and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
• Technical Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and related software.
• Written & Verbal Communication: Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work occasional evenings as needed.
• Background Check: Must pass initial and ongoing background checks as a condition of employment.
