Position Summary:
To assist Audio/Visual Services staff with event set-up, operation, and strike. Position is on-call only. Hours can vary based on event load during various times of the year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with setting up and striking for events held on campus
- Assist with sound and video as needed, and provide exceptional service to co-workers and outside customers
- Set up audio and visual equipment as scheduled for event use.
- Operate audio and visual equipment as needed.
- Aid users in operating audio and visual equipment as needed.
- Report equipment problems to the supervisor.
- Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Professional-level knowledge of live audio equipment and the ability to mix live audio using analog/digital mixing consoles
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and operating audiovisual (A/V) technology in diverse environments, such as classrooms or event spaces
- Maintain a growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, reflect His character in all interactions, and faithfully uphold and embrace Northwestern’s mission, Doctrinal Statement and Declaration of Christian Community

- Technical Proficiency: Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and related software.
- Video Operation: Ability to understand and operate the basic functions of a video camera.
- Troubleshooting: Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- AV Knowledge: Basic knowledge of sound equipment, wiring, and electricity.
- Written & Verbal Communication: Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility: Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule, working evenings and weekends.
- Travel: Willingness and ability to travel occasionally for work-related purposes.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
- Background Check: Must pass initial and ongoing background checks as a condition of employment.
