Position Compensation: $13.00 per hour
Location: University Campus - St. Paul, Minnesota

Position Summary:
To assist with social media content and provide support to the Social Media Strategist.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with writing, scheduling, and maintaining the social media content calendar.
• Collaborate with department content creators to cultivate and curate social media content for the UNW community.
• Engage with UNW constituents (alumni, students, staff, and faculty) through monitoring UNW’s social media accounts.
• Ensure that content follows UNW branding and written communication guidelines as well as the social media policy.
• Assist with scheduling, planning, and advertising for ZeeMee Live events.
• Assist with website updates, photography/videography, or blog writing as needed
• Perform other duties as requested or assigned

Qualifications:
• Sophomore standing or higher preferred
• Communications Studies, Marketing, Professional Writing, Public Relations majors preferred
• Technically competent with experience working on websites and social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube, and ZeeMee. Willingness to learn the following tools: Sprout Social (scheduling), Wrike (project management), Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Google (Calendar, Gmail, Drive, Analytics), Adobe InDesign, and Photoshop.
• Maintain a growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, reflect His character in all interactions, and faithfully uphold and embrace Northwestern’s mission, Doctrinal Statement and Declaration of Christian Community

Key Skills:
Independent & Teamwork: Capable of working both independently and collaboratively, with minimal supervision.
Confidentiality: Maintains discretion and handles sensitive information appropriately.
Organizational Skills: Strong time management and problem-solving abilities; able to prioritize and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
Technical Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and related software.
Written & Verbal Communication: Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
Punctuality & Initiative: Prompt, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting responsibilities.
Background Check: Must pass background check as a condition of employment.

The work environment involves working for a suburban, Christian university or Christian owned and operated radio station alongside those with a demonstrated commitment and personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a commitment to the mission and values of Northwestern, and an agreement to abide by all Northwestern policies.
