Position Summary:
To assist in the care taking of UNW grounds, including lawns, ball fields, landscaping, sidewalks, steps, snow. and trees in a neat and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in maintaining campus lawns, mowing, irrigating, and fertilizing regularly
Provide tree, shrub, and flower care, including watering, trimming and planting
• Provide ice and snow removal of walks and roads
• Assist in lake shore and surrounding woods rehabilitation. (Buckthorn removal, lake weed removal, etc.)
• Maintain a safe work environment through proper lifting and use of equipment
• Assist in any/all aspects of event setup and cleanup as needed.
• Assist in the care of athletic facilities.
• Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Qualifications:
Required:
• Ability to perform basic yard tasks
• Ability to work on-call as needed for department- related events (i.e. snow, storm clean-up, etc.); which may include some evenings, weekends, and/or holidays
• Driver’s License: Valid driver's license
• Background Check: Must pass background check as a condition of employment.
• Maintain a growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, reflect His character in all interactions, and faithfully uphold and embrace Northwestern’s mission, Doctrinal Statement and Declaration of Christian Community

• Flexibility: Willingness to work on-call outside of regular business hours as needed due to events or snow removal.
